Stop TB Partnership and UNAIDS launch first gender assessment tool for national HIV and TB responses to support countries with applications to the Global Fund
01 July 2016 – Geneva, Switzerland – The Stop TB Partnership in collaboration with UNAIDS and partners today launched the first ever gender assessment tool for national HIV and TB responses to support countries in Global Fund applications which builds on the UNAIDS HIV Gender Assessment Tool launched in 2013 – and adapted to include TB.

The report written by Dave Burrows, Gemma Oberth, Danielle Parsons and Lou McCallum, supported by UNAIDS, suggests that the transition process should be based on three sets of principles: (1) transparency and predictability; (2) best practices and (3) Human Rights. The report was developed around these three lines.
