Description: The 2016 Index for Access to Medicines analyzes the performance of the 20 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, working on research regarding how medicines, vaccines and more accessible diagnostics are manufactured for the low and middle income countries. It highlights the best and most innovating practices found and the areas where some progress has been achieved but that still require some measures. The index is published every two years and it aims at measuring the performance of pharmaceutical companies regarding the highest load diseases in low and middle income countries.
