Description: Study developed by Amnesty International. Although sex work between consenting adults is not formally penalized in the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina), in reality, sex workers are penalized at different levels, through several laws that punish activities related to the promotion, sale and purchase of sex. Among them is the federal law against human trafficking, which does not differentiate between consented sex work and human trafficking aimed at the sex industry.
