Description: The Breaking Down Barriers initiative of the Global Fund provides financial and technical support to 20 countries to remove human rights-related and gender-related barriers to HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria services. Midterm assessments of this work were conducted in each of the 20 countries, about 1.5 to 2.5 years into the initiative (depending on the country), to examine progress made and to highlight effective program interventions.
