Document type: Report on Lessons Learnt Ā

Year: 2013

Description:Ā With the launch of the New Funding Model and other structural changes at the Global Fund Secretariat, the CCMs have even more power as supervisors of programs supported by the Global Fund, and it is expected that they will continue including several constituents in their respective countries. Ā However, despite the widespread recognition that the participation of civil society is a pre-requirement to achieve an optimal functioning of the CCMs, civil society still Ā has many limitations in its ability to influence internal decision making. Ā Now that the Global Fund is rethinking how to support the participation of civil society and affected key populations in the CCMs, it is important to benefit from what we have learnt so far. Ā This summary of lessons learnt and recommendations was prepared in order to offer a guide for current reviews of policies and programs supported by the CCMs.
