Description: This document shows a summary of the development and main results of the work conducted by entities of the SCA National Platform, which achieved the inclusion of SCAs in the National Health System as part of their efforts to attain sustainability given the gradual withdrawal of financing from the Global Fund. Between July and August 2017, the Regional Technical Assistance Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean (CRAT) accompanied this Platform in the process of recognition of SCAs within the Colombian health system. This support consisted in a legislation analysis, a SCAs’ situational diagnosis, and a series of regional training and consultative workshops aiming at preparing an action plan.
