As part of the activities of the LAC Platform during the last quarter of 2016, a proposal will be developed to accompany HIV, tuberculosis and malaria civil society groups in the transition processes of Latin America and the Caribbean; this process will take place in three countries of the region, which according to the Global Fund list will begin sustainable transition processes in the short term.
The proposal is to launch a methodological process for identifying the needs and the development of action plans focused on strengthening and preparing civil society and communities in the national processes for the sustainable transition in the face of the progressive withdrawal of the Global Fund. This study will be made in Belize, Ecuador and Panama; the Platform will establish strategic partnerships with local organizations to facilitate the implementation process. So far, the participation of Corporation Kimirina and the Collaborative network of Persons Living with HIV of Belize (C Net+) has been confirmed. The results will be reported through public presentations in each one of the countries. During the second regional meeting of the Platform in the first quarter of 2017, one of the main topics in the agenda will be the presentation of results to a broader group of activists and key stakeholders.
