The initiative was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and has been co-funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) since 2013.<\/p>\n<p>BACKUP Health aims to enable government and civil society partners to apply for and use Global Fund money, and to implement measures for controlling HIV, tuberculosis and malaria more effectively and sustainably.<\/p>\n<p>BACKUP Health have revised their application process and call to\u00a0apply for project support and for short-term consultancy assistance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">BACKUP Health\u2019s three intervention areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"gmail_default\">CCMs<\/li>\n<li class=\"gmail_default\">Health system strengthening<\/li>\n<li class=\"gmail_default\">Grant management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligible countries:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sub-Saharan Africa:<\/strong>\u00a0Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d\u2019Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique (only for the intervention area CCM), Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo<br \/>\n<strong>Eastern Europe and Central Asia:<\/strong>\u00a0Kyrgyzstan<br \/>\n<strong>South-East Asia:<\/strong>\u00a0Myanmar (only for the intervention area CCM), Nepal, Pakistan<br \/>\n<strong>Latin America and the Caribbean:<\/strong>\u00a0Colombia, Peru<\/p>\n<p>Global Fund partner countries not listed here can also apply for short-term consultancy assistance.
