Executive Summary <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department of State\u2019s Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Health Diplomacy (S\/GAC) has announced a $100 million Key Populations Investment Fund (KPIF) to scale up quality, key population (KP)-led community approaches to HIV\/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment programs and address social and structural factors (such as stigma, discrimination, violence, and human rights violations) that negatively impact KP\u2019s access to and retention in these programs. S\/GAC is soliciting applications from organizations to serve as Prime Recipients of KPIF funding.<\/p>\n

Key Populations Defined <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gay men and other men who have sex with men (MSM); transgender persons (TG); sex workers (SW); people who inject drugs (PWID); and people in prisons and other closed settings.<\/p>\n

Eligibility <\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligible: U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations; non-governmental organizations (NGOs); community- based organizations; faith-based organizations; private, public or state institutions of higher education; and for-profit organizations or businesses. S\/GAC encourages organizations led by individuals representing KP communities or with long histories of promoting KP leadership to apply.<\/p>\n

Ineligible: Individuals; foreign governments or affiliated organizations (i.e., parastatals); multilateral institutions (e.g., UN agencies).<\/p>\n
